If the shaft or housing gets damaged, it must be repaired. If you replace only the oil seal, but the shaft or bore remain damaged, then there is a chance of premature failure or leakage. You can easily repair the shaft, for example using an SKF Speedi-Sleeve.

The sizes of industrial oil seals typically range from 0–33cm. These varieties are designed for temperature fluctuations. If your seal matches the intended equipment, the machine will perform optimally.

No matter the PTFE machining techniques and other processes used in making mechanical parts, they tend to fail due to some reasons. The same thing applies to oil seals. When they are exposed to some factors, they fail. The factors are stated below alongside the solutions.
