    Caring for and maintaining your deep cast iron skillet is easy and straightforwarddeep cast iron skillet. First and foremost, always season the pan before use. This creates a non-stick surface and helps prevent rust. To season the pan, simply apply a thin layer of oil, place it in a preheated oven at 350°F for about an hour, then let it cool completely. Repeat this process every few uses to keep the pan in top condition.
